Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about our fantasy sports rules
Are fantasy sports legal in India?
Yes, fantasy sports are legal in most parts of India as they are classified as 'games of skill' rather than gambling under Indian law. However, there are restrictions in some states including Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Odisha, Sikkim, and Telangana. Always ensure you're complying with your local laws before participating.
What happens if a match is abandoned or postponed?
If a match is abandoned, postponed, or canceled, the fantasy contest related to that match may be canceled or rescheduled. In multi-match contests, points from the abandoned match will not be counted, and the contest will be decided based on the remaining matches. The specific handling may vary based on the situation and will be communicated to all participants.
Can I change my team after the contest has started?
No, you cannot modify your team after the contest lock time (typically at the start of the first match). Make sure to finalize your team before this deadline. However, for certain multi-day contests or tournaments, we may offer substitution windows that will be clearly communicated in the contest rules.
How are ties resolved in contests?
In case of a tie in the total points, the tie-breaker is usually determined by factors such as the team created earlier, or other sport-specific criteria like most runs scored, most wickets taken, etc. The exact tie-breaker rules are specified for each contest and can be viewed in the contest details.
What if there's a discrepancy in player scores?
We source our statistics from official providers for each sport. However, in case of any discrepancies, scores may be updated based on official corrections. Our fantasy scoring is considered final once the status is marked as "Complete" in the app, typically within 2 hours after the real match ends.
